Cantua Elementary School
Volunteer spotlight: IPX Power has an established partnership with Cantua Elementary School, demonstrating its commitment as an active and supportive neighbor. Ahead of the new school year, IPX staff volunteers rolled up their sleeves to work directly with teachers, decorating, organizing, and preparing classrooms to ensure a warm welcome back for the Cantua Tigers.
Golden Plains USD
Local partner spotlight: IPX Power is proud to partner with the Golden Plains Unified School District (GPUSD) to support local youth across the Westside Communities. The Baldomero Hernandez Scholarships invest directly in the district’s future by funding higher education opportunities for outstanding graduating seniors at GPUSD’s Tranquillity High School and neighboring Riverdale High School.
Project Maр
Darden covers approximately 9,500 acres of retired, fallow agricultural land south of Cantua Creek in unincorporated western Fresno County, part of IPX Power’s growing portfolio of clean energy projects across California.
Development Timeline
The Darden Clean Energy Project is the first clean energy project to be approved under the California Energy Commission’s (CEC) Opt-In Certification program. Authorized by the Legislature through Assembly Bill 205, the program allows certain clean energy development projects to “opt in” to a consolidated state permitting process that aims to accelerate the review of clean energy projects. This program is an important tool to help California achieve its mandate under Senate Bill 100 that all retail electric sales come from renewable energy and zero-carbon resources by 2045.
